Astoundingly good - absolutely astounding! The band are less than a year old, but their sound has
all the maturity and impact of long-term professionals. Excellent production values combine with
confident musicianship to produce a first class set of tracks that would do justice to anyone's
catalogue.
Despite their recent formation, it's not hard to see why the band have already made a positive
impact at their Boardwalk gigs. Most of 2006 was spent writing new material and recording, and
if the selection on this demo is anything to go by, their first CD should be a monster release.
It's hard to see why labels wouldn't want to grab them.
Musically, the tracks here are firmly in the modern American hard-rock tradition; the band's influences
include the likes of Def Leppard, System of a Down, Korn, Pantera, Rage Against the Machine, and many
(many many) others, from Snoop dog to P. Diddy.
I suppose I could do you a track by track analysis, but it'd be far more sensible for you to judge
them for yourself. All four tracks can currently be heard online at the Jackson Caged MySpace site,
and I urge you to take advantage of this opportunity:
