Background

Jopus were formed by Finch in 1991, but after 6 years of live music and much success in the UK & Ireland ill health forced Finch to take 3 years out of music. The time was spent writing material, and in 2000/2001 he reformed Jopus with a new line up that have been hard at work at their own phat wha studios laying down tracks and rehearsing. Since returning to the live music scene at Sheffield Barfly in April 2002 the band have again begun to create waves in the music industry with their unique sound and energy! Jopus completed a hugely successful tour of Ireland in the summer of 2002 and continue gigging around the rest of the UK. Jopus continue to work on new tracks and rehearse for shows in 2003.

Their debut 7-track debut E.P., "Rubber Nature," was released on 1st November 2002 on their own "Funky music" label, and the band entered talks to have the E.P. released on Matchbox recordings in January 2003. The track "into forever" from the EP features on a Matchbox Recordings compilation album of February 2003.

Jopus are looking for full time professional management to work with them and help them attain the commercial success they deserve. The band's contact details are at he bottom of this page.
